Spillavhengighet Norge has several volunteers across the country, and most of our activities are run by volunteers. These are individuals who contribute their expertise, experience, and time to the organization. Some of them have already received help from us and want to “give back” by helping others. Personal experience is an advantage but not a requirement to become a volunteer. All those who wish to become volunteers receive training to learn more about the organization’s work and the tasks that volunteers can take on.

Spillavhengighet Norge is committed to ensuring that volunteers feel cared for and appreciated. The work done by volunteers is invaluable for both the organization and those affected. Contributing to volunteer work leads to an increased social network, knowledge improvement, a sense of accomplishment, and personal challenges.

As a volunteer, you will:

– Become a part of a dedicated community where everyone works to prevent gambling problems and help those affected.
– Have the opportunity to attend seminars and courses.
– Have the chance to take on roles within the organization.
– Participate in internal and external gatherings.
– Have your expenses related to volunteer work covered.

As a volunteer, you can:

– Become a group leader.
– Meet with those affected for individual sessions.
– Man the contact phone.
– Respond to email inquiries.
– Deliver lectures.
– Participate in working groups.
– Operate information booths.
– Take on management roles.
– Become a regional leader.
– Meet other stakeholders for collaboration.
– Join user councils on behalf of Spillavhengighet Norge.
– Participate in political meetings and influence political work in general.

The majority of our volunteers hold positions as group leaders. This is one of our most important roles, and as a group leader, you will share responsibility for running one of our self-help groups (network groups). If there isn’t already a group in your area, we can assist you in starting one if the need is there.

We are always looking for individuals with a strong desire to help others.
